COMPONENT REPAIRS AND REFURBISHMENT

Experienced engineers bringing damaged components back to life

The repair and refurbishment of customers' components is a key part of our work at Westin Engineering. Although some may look beyond repair, our experienced engineers have the skills, equipment and pride to bring them back to life.

Pump shafts, motor shafts and gear box shafts can arrive with failed bearings and will require bringing back to size. Mechanical seal positions may need rectifying and wear and tear on a shaft will need returning to the correct tolerances for its application.

Our work can vary from remaking motor housings, repairing the shafts and gears on gearboxes, repairing pump heads or renewing box shafts. Turnaround time is usually one to two days, a little more if a part needs manufacturing.

As part of a small, independent group of companies, we can offer a repair and reconditioning service for gearboxes, geared motors, electric motors and pumps.

Our experienced engineers can strip down and report on virtually all makes of gear boxes, motors and pumps. We are also able to rewind electric motors of most types and sizes. Our workshop internal lifting capacity is up to 20 tonnes.

We will inspect your faulty gear box, geared motor, electric motor or pump and provide a comprehensive quotation for repair, reconditioning or replacement.

Our aim is to minimise your production downtime. As part of our technical assistance and problem solving service, we can also recommend design changes and upgrading of equipment to extend life and increase efficiency.
